Monsters

Monsters are the adversaries and creatures that provide challenge, intrigue, and depth to any RPG campaign. The Monsters documentation section of Game Squire is designed to guide Game Masters (GMs) through the process of populating their worlds with a diverse array of beings, each with their own unique abilities and lore.

Accessing Monsters

Navigation: Find the creatures that lurk in your campaign's shadows under Reference > Monsters. Here, the beasts and beings of your world are cataloged for GMs to use and reference.

Monster Management for GMs

For Game Masters: Akin to the summoners of old, GMs hold the power to bring forth monsters at will. With access to 'View All' and 'Add' options, GMs can manage their menagerie of monsters, ensuring their campaign is always stocked with foes to fascinate and frighten players.

Monster Listings: Each monster created by the GM is displayed on the page, with options to delve into the details or conjure new creatures to challenge the party.

Monster Profiles

Creating Monsters: The 'Add' button leads GMs to a form where they can either manually create a new monster or use the Squire’s automated generation for a touch of unpredictability and creativity.

Monster Details: Selecting a monster allows GMs to view it in detail, revealing its strengths, weaknesses, and the role it could play in the adventure.

Editing and Administration

Action Bar for GMs: GMs are equipped with an action bar providing 'View,' 'Edit,' 'Delete,' 'Add,' and 'View All' options for complete control over the monstrous inhabitants of their game worlds.

Player Interaction

Engagement with Monsters: While players cannot create or modify monsters, they will face these creatures in their quests, making monsters a crucial element of the story and gameplay. All monsters created by the GM will be viewable by players within their campaigns.

Note: some features use AI, are in early development, and won’t always get it right.
